Answering Your Questions – You Asked:
Is there a connection between Colors and astrological signs?
…I have no idea, but I get that question frequently. I do know that in my case, as a Libra, there is. My Green does fight the correlation, because I don’t find the credibility in a horoscope. One day, I do want to talk to someone that really knows their stuff and compare notes…it’d be interesting…
I’m a Gold manager and have a real clash with a Blue lady on my team. She doesn’t know Colors, but can you help?
…Yes – spend the $20 on the Colorful Personalities book, have her do the assessment, and read the Blue and Gold chapters. Then have a coffee or lunch with her and go through the strengths and stresses chart and compare notes just off those two pages, in what each of your blessings are to each other, what you need help with, or what you find hard to understand. Everything on a team is “let’s make a deal” in working as an effective team.
I told a Green friend that CSI is the best way to see Greens on a TV show. But he told me the show is stupid and won’t watch it. What’s with that?
…You’re both right. CSI, along with House, is a great way to see Greens at work. But it’s about watching it from a Colors perspective. True, most Greens know that the show doesn’t have much credibility. What they do to solve some of the crimes, the equipment they claim does this and that, which really doesn’t exist, and the likes, is what he is referring to.
My son wants to learn to play the guitar, but he has no interest in taking lessons. That doesn’t make sense.
…Sure it does. Especially if he’s Orange. Go to the newsletter search where hundreds of the Colors stories are posted and find the one on Bruce Springsteen. Your son wants to learn through experimenting, and not being forced to do anything this way or that way. From kids to the office, Oranges learn hands on and through experimenting! But not all musicians are Orange! If you watched the recent 60 Minutes interview with Coldplay, here is what correspondent Steve Kroft summarized him as: He is a compulsive worrier and list maker. He sends himself electronic messages and scrolls notes on scraps of paper lest he forgets some brilliant idea. And lead singer Chris Martin added: “We (the band) have all our rules here (on the wall). The rules are important.
Did you watch the new show called Marriage Ref this week?
…No, did not see the pilot. But I’ll watch it this week and do a blog story (just click the RSS feed to find the stories throughout the month that won’t make the newsletter.) The premise of helping a marriage is great, because I believe the vast majority of the time it is a clash of different Colors. But they classify the show as a comedy (with Jerry Seinfeld), and a referee decides who’s right and wrong? That’s NOT how to help couples. It’s just how to make them look stupid, entrench bad behavior, make it about right and wrong versus happy and fill air time on TV. Besides, critics say it won’t be around long…gee…wonder why?
